Enjoyed the baseball season, frustrating football season but never see anything about here about basketball. Is our football program headed the same direction of basketball?

I did watch the Utah (wow can play round ball too) game last night. From the time it was over to the time it was on the board it was far more than a pregnant pause.

Why in the name of Pete Maravich do we not have access to a lone LSU and SEC basketball thread?

That Trent Johnson is one laid back coach. Brady and his teams were more fun to watch so far.

Don't give up on us yet. There's still plenty of time to make a big SEC run and then get completely destroyed by West Podunk State in the 1st round of the tournament.

You mean because of the live meltdowns we got to watch, right? You know, like a player quitting the team in the middle of a game? A coach pouting to himself for a whole half when his team is out of it rather than really coaching them? I guess that could be considered fun. We did have some fun teams/players from my perspective...Jabari Smith, Stromile Swift, Dupree, Tyrus, Big Baby, etc. But the two dead last 6th place western division finishes for Brady in his last two years weren't very fun.

Johnson took almost that same 6th place western division team and turned them into SEC Champions in his first year (and it wasn't even a close race). And he turned Thornton into one of the best players I've ever seen at LSU. This is definitely a rebuilding year for LSU and it won't be very exciting, but they were fun last year. Hell, LSU was the only team that played the eventual national champions (North Carolina) close in the tourament.

Ya I guess that was it, I just love emotional drama. It just wasn't a good basketball season until Brady had his back against the wall and would pull a Houdini. I remember him declaring war on Bama for one of our idiot players jumping on a scorer table.

LSU sure had some nice players, but it was always a high wire act. Gonna miss that man. I believe Brady came out of Samford in B'ham.

The Tigers are in a sort of rebuilding mode this season. A pretty good transfer from Ole Miss has to sit out plus a good recruiting will have us back in the hunt next season.
