Every year I start hoping for the following in this order: 1. Beat Auburn 2. Beat Florida 3. Win the West 4. Win the SEC 5. Win the Crystal This has been a good year and I still love this team. :geaux: The Arkansas loss hurt but I don't think it disappointed me as much as some of the threads I have seen lately. We can talk football and point out some reality. Nothing wrong with that. Early, what were you thinking, take a step back off the line man. CLM, what happened: Bringing RP in for a change of pace worked great, and we stopped that because? Play the kid or get him out of the uniform and off the sideline. Dorsey is without a doubt a true warrior. But when you are hurting that bad it is time to go to the next man. I think they took advantage of us there. Hester, man you got heart. :thumb: I wish you would have got the ball instead of trying to pass from the 2. Not easy in any situation. Bo, where was the pressure? Flynn, what was the deal? Were you sick or just couldn't hit anyone in the first half? Where was the crowd? Where was the band? Why did everything seem just flat? This talk could go on and on and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But, what really killed me was watching the threads evolve on this board. From support CLM to fire him and good riddance. From calling Corso a fool to agreeing and saying that we were never that good. From talking about the NC to all but giving up the next game too. Incredible. Sorry, go ahead and pick the post apart but I had to get if off my chest. CLM, do what you gotta do and get us to the Sugar Bowl. You and the team got my support and I'll be spreading the rug in front of the tv and pulling for my team. :helmet: :geauxtige :helmet:
You must have been in those upper deck seats. Because for a 1:30 CBS game it was pretty much on par. My ears were ringing on the 4th and 10. And I could hear it very well after the play.
Not quite upper deck, but about 30 miles north of Milwaukee. Maybe it was just the coverage, but it seemed awful quiet for a game that had the implications that it did. I think it was sometime in the 3rd quarter, maybe 4th when Knucklehead Danielson remarked to Lunquist, "Hey, the band IS here" or something like that.
Almost a week later.... I am still in shock and can't believe what has slipped away from us. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Cheer up! It's good to be a Tiger fan. Imagine what it's like to be a Bama/Ole Miss/Vandy/Kentucky/USCe/Oregon/Cal/Notre Dame/etc. fan right now. Two losses, both tough SEC matchups against Heisman candidates, both losses in 3OT after HOURS of very tough football, with dudes playing hurt. I love this team - no whining. :geaux:
I don't recall if it was the first or second OT but there was a point where it was a hair from being as loud as the Florida game.
Excellent idea coach. Let'd get rid of all the backups, and go to Atlanta with 22 guys (plus a kicker). We're not playing any of them. Let's get out of the uniform and off the sideline.
Another well thought out reply. Give me a minute to digest it. Then tell me why he wasn't used. Oh wait, nevermind. It was because the two quarterback thing wasn't working and Flynn was on a hot streak.
I don't have an answer to why he wasn't used. They didn't invite me to the gameplan meetings this year. What I do know is that I kinda like the idea of having a back-up, and think the idea "play him or get rid of him" is not a well thought out one.
I agree!! We've had a great season. We just don't have the opportunity for the "DREAM SEASON". As posted in the opening: We beat Florida We beat Auburn We beat Alabama We beat Steve Spurrier We beat Virginia Tech - Out of Conference Bonus We're playing for the SEC Championship and a shot at the Sugar Bowl!!! Let's keep our heads up!!! There are 10 other SEC Schools that would love to change places with us. Remember the 90's!! :geaux:
