On TV, I can't really follow the line much...the guy sitting next to me at the brew pub said Hebert got pushed around a lot.

Not saying he was credible, but he was the producer for the LSU football radio broadcasts when Furgeson was the announcer. I believe him.

Hebert looks like he's put on some weight. He looked like a new player to me.

I didn't analyze his performance closely enough, and didn't see the penalty clearly enough.

But it's easy to see why he'd be ahead of a raw kid like Williford. Coming out of high school everyone know Williford was big but needed some seasoning.

"Losing Will really is a blow because of the guy. I think he's a good player. I think he would have eventually matured into a really good player, and he was a tremendous leader in that line. I think we'll find a replacement for him. I think there will be a guy that will step in there in play. I think we'll miss him and what he brought to the team. I think Matt Branch, Josh Williford and T-Bob, all of those will get snaps inside there that will fit to replace what is an injured starter."

I thought for sure that I saw Williford in there for a few plays in the second half. I haven't had a chance to watch the replay yet, but that is one thing I plan to look for...

Actually, I hadn't thought of him as a guard primarily because I thought (posting this without looking at a roster, mind you) that he was on the light side?

Center's can typically be the smallest of the O-linemen and it's not THAT bad if you have a center in the 270-280 lbs. range. A guard that's 270 is asking for trouble--especially if you're in a BCS conference.

I think I saw Williford, #74, in at RG. He got eaten by the NC guy, Coples or something. Ran right by him and Coples ate up Ridley for a 5 yd. loss. T-Bob did better.

I was watching the game the second time and wanted to see how Blackwell broke his ankle. I took a screenshot of it if anyone wants to see it.

Any word on how Blackwell is doing? This weekend will be week 6. Should we expect to see him back in October?
