Blackwell should only be out six weeks. And does anyone else like T-Bob more as a guard?

Damn. Where'd you hear that? That seems like a quick recovery for a Big Ugly with an ankle injury. Drugs and lots of tape, I guess...

Well it might have changed since then, but I heard that immediately after the game. I rode to the game with some friends who covered it for student media. I had to wait for them to come out of the press conference and post-game interviews for a ride home, and that was what they told me when they got to the car.

But he'll be 6 weeks out of condition and unlikely to step back into the starting lineup, though. At least it will heal completely. I was afraid it was a knee when he went down.

Yeah, but that's always the case with injuries. You gotta hope he can get his job back considering the caliber and depth of our line as is.

Ryan Baker and DeAngelo Peterson will face these challenges as well. It's tough to miss that much time and hit the ground running but it's doable.

They need to have a want to succeed and get their bones damn strong again.

Baker can at least workout during his recovery, so he may be back early. But he'll be wearing an offensive lineman's facemask for the rest of the season.

You been ghostwriting Les' book, you old ass-kisser? :hihi:

T-Bob was horrible at guard. Yes I have watched the replay over and over. He was picked up at the line and thrown backwards. Really makes you question how a guy that is 30-40 pounds to light and not even on the depth chart for RG is in the game. Oh yeah Les likes him, he is a true competitor and a MAN.

Could you imagine if he got hurt during that game and we did not have a quality backup at center?

I'm worried about Baker keeping his food intake up without a working jaw. I went to school with a girl who broke her jaw in 5th grade, she wasn't the same all year.

Granted, he's got a better nutritionist in place than a 5th grade girl, but it's such a debilitating injury because it affects how you fuel up your tank.

Luckily he's a speed player and will still have his wheels.

Hadn't thought about that. Yep, he will have an adjustment to make, too.

Talk to the head coach about that.
