Well, let me begin by saying USC is a very storied program and has a very rich history........hey, it’s Hollywood baby. USC has 12 National Championships and 7 Heisman winners – I don’t think the entire SEC has as many Heismans. Even before Pete’s arrival, we could have stopped playing football at USC for twenty years and LSU still wouldn’t be able to have half of the NC’s we do..........oh, course, I always subtract one when I post in the den so make that 11. You know, I really have taken a liking to those SEC Honks and would never want to cause trouble over there. Tiga... Thanks V, I’ll relay that to him but you know he kinda likes to flip flop and no telling which way he will steer this, he thinks having the last word means you win. I’m working with him though and trying to make him understand that debate is just like football, sometimes you don’t have the right play called and the defense wins.......don’t take the fregin sack, throw it out of bounds. When you do head back out there, be sure to tell them you won't go back when they start having seasons like these again 12 seasons in a 16 year span with 4 or more losses. It happens to everyone.
I suppose that I understand what youre saying (crowd wise) I just dont agree 100%. As far as the crowd does go, I believe we all know what happens here and everywhere else: fair weather fans. Theyll only come to the game if were winning but, like I said, thats every team in the country.
thank you lvtgrfn . and tiga, if you really would stop watching the games if we were to go 7-5 again... well if you have season tickets get ready to sell them and i'll be a taker. next year we'll lose at least 3 games, possibly 4-5. it's just gonna be one of those years. of course i hope to hell it doesn't turn out like that, but with an incredibly young defense, esp in the secondary, and with it being an even year i can easily see us losing 4 games +. so i hope you remember saying what you did, i'll save it in my thoughts because i'll be coming for your tickets buddy!
One more "you are not a true fan" post. Wow, I've never seen this before. The truth is it's like playing for second place. When we have experienced as much success as we have in the last 7 years or so this is a let down. Personally, I wouldn't spend the money to fly cross country unless a win meant a NC. Am I and the hundreds if not thousands that have cancelled less of fans? I don't think so. Look in my house and you see an entire media room decorated in purple and gold with LSU pictures, tickets to a game every year for the last 20 years while living here on the West Coast. Once again, I will along with the thousands who are not making the trip will not miss a second of this game or the next one. The game has lost "something" if not "alot" of it's meaning.
Don't fight it WestCoast, in fact, go with it. I'm finding it much more entertaining to just feed it. Many of the ones posting that kind of BS didn't have tickets to cancel in the first place. They think going to the likes of a UL game every other year (Or less) makes them a fan. Anyone who needs to harp on "How much of a true fan" they are raises a lot of questions with me, even though it's not always the case. Anyone who thinks you can't be a fan and still question or want more is entitled to their opinion too. It could be argued that the ones who want it all are better fans.....no?? Those "Fair weather fans" don't care if LSU is the best in the Nation or not, as long as they play. They just need a reason/place to get drunk on Saturdays. :hihi:
I just drove from Diamondhead to Biloxi. Saw a few Tiger fans heading to Atlanta on I-10 and thought, man those guys are real fans and Westcoast aint. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
The CBS announcers did mention during the game that the crowd seemed a bit out of the game. I just can't believe that fans that had tickets will not go to the game cause we lost against Arky...It is dissapointing but that's no reason to hate on the team.
How can you predict what we'll do next year. You don't even know who the head coach will be. You're starting off the next year just as negative as the one's your accusing this year.
