I had not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR sec championship tickets and I could not find anyone willing to take the two left over tickets... for FREE. Are we so spoiled that we have already written this season off? How in the world would people that attend LSU not want to go to this game? Not one excuse came down to money (which is mine), everyone really could just care less. ... man... i hate to say it but a few losing, or a few 7-5 seasons might be what we need as a fan base when people can't get excited for a frickin championship game unless it's the national championship. **** Now just so you know, I planned on going with a friend, and we planned on bringing the girlfriends. They didn't want to go so it was down to us finding other friends to go with. All we were looking for was for someone to take the tickets, FOR FREE, and just split gas and hotel costs with us. We couldn't find anyone to go with us so I just told the person giving me the tickets to find someone else to take them. We already spent our money Christmas shopping and just couldn't make the trip financially if it was only the two of us. Sorry if this angers anyone looking for tickets but the person giving me the tickets already had four others ready to take them and I just couldn't offer them to anyone else on here with the way it was working. ****
well i was looking for people who are my friends to go with me, i don't want to ride 10 hours in a car with a stranger i just met off the internet. it's thursday night and the game is on saturday. it's kind of not easy to get people together in a day to leave to atlanta much less people i don't know or have never met. so if that's your definition of not looking hard enough, i'm guilty. the point is, though, that you shouldn't have to look for people to take free tickets. you should just say "hey i got two free sec championship tickets" and the people should come to you. so again, it's a sad day when we're so damn spoiled we can't even be excited about an sec championship.
Well I was kidding because it would cost you a lot to pick me up in Orlando, not to mention staying in a hotel room with a bunch of strange guys seems like a bad idea!!!:lol: (keep it clean boys) But after meeting the people I have here not all of us internet people are bad!!:grin:
I wonder if the real problem is that most of wonder whether we can win the game. Perhaps people are hesitant to make the trip to see their team lose. I'll be at the game, BUT, I won't be surprised to see Tenn win straight up. I'm not so sure that our Defense will be able to stop Tenn. I'm not so sure that RP is ready to play. Maybe people doubt our chances. Am I wrong?
Spoiled is not the right word. Disappointed is more like it. I was offered a ticket for free and passed. I was all set to leave today had we won last week. Will I still watch the game intently? Yep. Did last week's loss end the trip? Yep. I guess when the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is the Sugar Bowl well...we've had that pot of gold 2 of the last 3 years. The NC or the possibility of the NC was the only thing I was willing to put my $$$ out there for a cross country trip. That is out of reach so I spent that money on Christmas. That doesn't mean I won't watch the next two games. I won't miss a second but I just won't be there in person. The game has lost some of it's luster for me and apparently many others. I personally know at least 6 people that cancelled after last weekend and yes we are all still fans.:lsup:
