I never thought I'd see the day that a Les Miles LSU team would lose without trying something audacious or creative to get things going. And punting deep into the 4th quarter with very little time and a gassed defense? That's not my Les Miles.
here's some spin for you, would you agree that using this offense, with a young injured team is kind of ballsy?
I thought Miles was self serving trying to be the "mad hatter" with that BS jump pass. First and goal and you pound it in.
He still takes chances, but they are not the trick plays that alot of fans are used to seeing. The chances he is taking have not been much of a success either.
What happened to Lesticles?....... He started coaching the offense! He is as bad as Dale Brown when he tries to figure out the X's and O's. Our offense has been ranked near the bottom of college football for the last five years. This is nothing new. Did you really believe that we were a top 5 team at the beginning of the season?........ We have a new QB (only first year QB that was "Great" at LSU was Tommy Hodson, all the others, took at least a year.) We have a completely new defensive backfield. We lose a genius of a defensive backs coach to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We lose our by far best DT (Brookers). I predicted we would lose 3 or 4 games this year. After what I have seen thus far, it may be more.
Lesticles was neutered around the same time we ruined jarrett lee v1.0 I believe. Both resurfaced when our hand was forced last year. Then we cut the last of the remaining dangling participle out when shady returned.
So Saint, you just established a reasonable reason for our performance this year based on personel losses. Though you left out O Line injuries and shuffles most of the reasons (not blame)you provide is around the experiance and physical differences between the two years' teams. Yet you are one who screams for Les's job why? Recently only oabby Bowden and it appears Saban have been able to have 5 plus years of top 5 results. Unfortunately with the constant churning of college ball dips are almost impossible to avoid. In Fact Les has done a pretty good job of keeping LSU at the top. Better than ANY past coach of the Tigers (NS included). He must be doing something right. Why do you take such a dislike to Les and/or his coaching? It isn't that he is above criticism (he isn't) or that some points about his weaknesses are valid (they are) and shouldn't be discussed (they should). It is that every little issue is magnified by so many who call for Les's head that it appears a crusade of emotion rather than reason. Why do you all attack those who defend Les with such anger and say that any defense is without reason? It truly amazes me that a few seem to take pleasure out of hating Les a man who has provided LSU with a significant portion of its greatest era ever in footbal, a man who by all accounts is a good person and father figure to his charges. Please explain this in a reasonable unemotional response and provide facts and analysis rather than taunts and vituperation.
Excuse me? At what point did I say I want Les to be fired? Please do not make stuff up, and surely you do not need to write a novel, based on an unsubstantiated claim. I do want a new offense. I do want Les to be our CEO, and keep out of the X's and O's. Some coaches like Meyers and Saban are good with the X/O's Les is not. He is our Mack Brown. I believe our recruiting has fallen off. We do not have a WR over 6'2"----thats a problem!!! We do not have a great receiving TE----thats a problem!!! We need an new offensive coordinator and QB coach, and we need them now!
