I think he would have. Dak can actually accurately deliver the football. If we had a guy that could do that with some consistency LSU would still have been pitiful on offense but a little bit better.
so it's just a coincidence that every other QB that suited up for can't hit water if the fell out of a boat?
first of all I appreciate the video. I'm been wanting Miles fired for over 4 years, wanted him to go to Michigan and haven't liked him from day one, especially when OK State fans were happy to see him go and the OK State forum I asked about him when hired was told that he'd be popular in a goofy way but full of pet cliches, can't coach, spouts mindless gibberish and bullshit. If he was fired today I'd be happy. I retract my statement. I guess I said I didn't think he should be fired because keeping him for the rest of the season keeps us stable because we ain't got anybody to replace him. But I'd like to see him be forced to resign but give him the dignity to retire at the end of the season but privately be told he's done.
Mettenberger did, didn't matter though because the offense was still pedestrian. You could see the limitations even then. No tight ends catching passes, it was still X and Z. But he completed them most of the time. Helps to have 2 NFL studs as X and Z for sure, but if we had a guy who is a pocket quarterback, the offense would be better, still wouldn't be enough though. Think about this, that offense still wasn't enough to beat Bama, with Landry, Hill, Beckham, Trai Turner, and La'El Collins. Jesus H Christ, if that isn't wtf wake up call that Miles and his brand of offense is 100 percent shit, I don't know what is.
I rejected this idea of yours for a long time, but it cannot be denied. I appreciate a strong running game and feel it is essential to TOP and imposing your will on the other team. But, my goodness, there has been this thing called the forward pass for about 85 years, and we need to learn how to do that. I'm ashamed that it has taken me 12 seasons to realize it's not going to ever happen under Les.
I know that you have said the same thing, but I have argued this with @tirk over and over, only to become hopeful that Miles would change again and again--to be wrong every...single...time...
Nobody was a bigger Miles fan than me got raked over the coals for that. Wisconsin game did it for me but should have seen it earlier.
Well, that's sad...then you've been miserable for 11 years. Come on, there were a LOT of good times to be had during that time. Looking back, people are going to say that the real downhill time can after 1/9/12.
