Does this team finish off strong, with Arkansas and the bowl game, and put this season to bed? Or will there be more drama leading into the off season? My crystal ball is really fuzzy right now.
Well sadly as the resident sunshine pumper this is my crystal ball. Lets see how the LSU fans react at the first moment of Adversity. For example if Arkansas is smart they will take the ball first. If they score and then LSU goes 3 and out. Katie bar the door. I have been a part of the LSU family for almost 40 years, and this is the most jilted I have seen our fan base. Even the Dinardo finale. So Arkansas knows create some adversity and the LSU fans will turn on Miles and boo then leave. HOWEVER. If LSU can get on top early. You would be amazed at the forgiveness. The Us against Them mentality comes in for the team and ironically the fans. So to me the first quarter will determine this entire game. If the 1Q ends with Arkansas up 10-0 and LSU has 14 yards of offense again.... Which is a shame, I am going to the game brining my whole family and best friend and his family. Who are Razorbacks. Even his wife said after seeing me the last two days said "All Arkansas has to do it get up a TD or two and the LSU fans will mail it in" I told her, sadly based on our message board most have already... I am going to cheer LSU, to show my daughter our wonderful school and atmosphere. So regardless I am excited.
We may still screw over Ole Miss if we win against Arkansas. I would think most bowls would prefer the Tigers over the Rebels even though we blew the game to them. If we don't get our offense on track, we won't win. We're averaging less than 21 points/game in SEC play and that's counting points scored by the defense and special teams. To me...that's the telling stat for this season.
Who and where do we bowl at this year? Say we win against Arky or lose against Arky. I saw where they had us in Cotton on one website is we beat Arky, and one guy had us in the Music City Bowl. I threw my crystal ball through the tv saturday when on the last drive I asked it if Miles had a clue and it said LOL.
I wouldn't go that far, the program was in shambles at the end of Dinardo this is fixable. No matter how extremely disappointing it is this doesn't compare to those last two years under Dinardo.
actually some of it is, the last time we lost to Alabama and Ole Miss on the road in the same season was 1999.
