LOL! Oh. My. God. I just love the hometown fan view of their own players' abilities.

VY was head and shoulders a better, more accomplished COLLEGE QB than JJ will ever be--even if JJ had another 4 years, he'd STILL NOT be as good as VY.

C'mon, now. Srsly? You're compairing a QB that ranks near the bottom of the CONFERENCE as a passer to a player that was prolific at his position and a Heisman finalist??

Look, not taking away their contributions to the program, but the success (i.e. career statistic rankings) for BOTH Lee AND JJ has benefitted from the fact that they played in a time frame where our depth at the position was subpar (and that's putting it mildly).

Had RP not gotten himself kicked off, neither JJ nor Lee would be anywhere near the top 10 in any major career passing category at LSU. They both accomplished their stats because there was no one else.

Gee whiz. Just because a player plays for a team ranked #1 in the country and playing in the BCSCG does NOT automatically make him "a good pro" let alone a pro prospect even!

Don't get me wrong, JJ's abilities have helped this team. His legs have gotten him out of trouble on many occassions....but more so than not, it was his HEAD that GOT him into trouble in the first place!

Hodson, Rohan and Mauck. What do these former players have in common? JJ couldn't hold a candle to ANY of them in terms of being a QB and all 3 of them flamed out in the pros.

9 out of 10 pro teams would take a QB with a weak, yet accurate arm but deemed to have good understanding reading defenses over one that has deficiencies reading defenses with quetionable accuracy dispite having good mobility (i.e. Wuerffel--or however he spells his name, Brodie Croyle, etc.)

If JJ is going to be a "good pro", he'd better learn to run some routes, catch the ball and learn to block and hope that someone in the CFL could use someone like that and has the patience to let him develope and take a gamble.....OR, whatever his "improvement" was from last year until this one, he'd better multiply that by 50 between now and the end of this coming summer if he even hopes to get a shot to try as an undrafted FA as a QB for an NFL team.

I think JL says, "thanks Daddy Miles for not letting me transfer, allowing me the opportunity to redeem myself this season and contribute to winning another National Championship for the Tigers"

    Again we will see

BTW Vandy may get the hot Shot QB that made a revisit to LSU . There will be only one reason why he did not come to LSU over Vandy .

    Distance...

Gunner is sold on LSU. If we don't land him Family and distance would be the only thing holding him back. This is what the coaches are working on with the parents. They have been talking to him and the family everyday.
