Not a running back.He does rush the ball from time to time, and probably SHOULD be listed as a RB. He's a WR, though. http://www.lsusports.net/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&SPID=2164&SPSID=27812 Murphy and Scott have less game experience than KW, but he has quite a bit, and in big games, and over two seasons...yet hasn't ever lost a fumble. Scott and Murphy have never lost fumbles either. That's coaching, IMHO.
Please understand that I'm not saying they are prone to it. Like I said, nobody knows for sure how prone they are or not. KW got something like half the carries that Hester did and so, statistically speaking, had half the opportunities to fumble. I'm rooting for whoever takes over for Hester to be the same kind of dependable guy that we can all trust NOT to turn it over. I never worried about a fumble with Hester carrying the ball. Do you remember what it was like when Vincent was around? I held my breath every time he got a carry. I don't want to go back to that.
Actually, I remember what it was like when Charles Alexander was around...but I digress. I get what you're saying AT. I just have heard/seen/read people point out the "fact" that these backs have to "learn" to hold on to the ball, but have no evidence to support any claim that they are prone to fumbling. Fact is, I agree that Hester was amazing at MANY things, including holding on to the ball. However, he fumbled on occasion, and lost more than all of these guys put together. FWIW, I believe Hester and Williams had about the same # of carries year before last. And the coaching comment? We haven't had a RB lose a fumble since '04...Hester...when Saban was coach.
No doubt our backs are well coached, but these kinds of doubts always arise when a new number one guy steps onto the field. Was it Hester? Was it coaching? Time and experience will tell. And I don't care what he's listed at, Trindon is a back and that's all there is to it, LOL! I can't recall a single pass (other than swing passes and tosses) being thrown his way all last year. I could be wrong, though. In fact, I probably am. But even the RBs act like receivers quite a bit in the Wizard's offense.
Our #3 RB last year, Holliday had more rushes (51) and more yards (364) than Scott, Perrilloux, or Murphy. He had only 2 receptions for 3 yards, behind 15 other receivers. I'd say he's a running back.
See above...I agree with you. Again, see above...and you don't get to print the programs. He's a WR. I even provided a link!
