First and foremost a victory with no injuries. Secondly I would like to see how the team handles adversity...should there be any. This would certainly give us an idea of the chemistry the team has achieved during camp and would probably help define the leader(s) on both sides of the ball.
Good one. I could argue we might have a clue right now, based on the QB situation after RP left - not many other major discipline issues (knocking on wood, salt over shoulder) after that. But real adversity will start happening sometime after the first snap of the Auburn game - at least I hope it takes that long....
:rolleye33: Not again! Name one current LSU RB that has lost a fumble in his career...just one. And it isn't like they haven't played. Sorry, it's just a pet peeve of mine that people say we're gonna miss Hester because he never fumbled. I agree we'll miss Hester...but it has nothing to do with him never fumbling. (He fumbled more in his LSU career than all of the current backs put together)
i want to see: our tigers play a solid game with few penalties. our running back committee run all over that App defense a comfortable point lead by halftime Trindon break one out for the long run Chad Jones kicking butt and taking names Byrd and Lafell hauling it in and getting the Xtra no serious injuries (on either team) but most of all, i want to see some Tiger football then ends with 01-00 on this scoreboard ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓
Some goon on ESPN reported that Armanti graduated last year. He's actually a true junior (no red-shirt year). Others have reported that he's injured - haven't seen any evidence of that from practice reports or other message boards. The other thing that may come into play is that Armanti doesn't like to fly. He had never been on a plane before the trip to Michigan. There's a reference in the App / LSU trailer to that when Coach Moore says, "He'll help us in Baton Rouge .... if we can get him on the plane. Let's tell him we're going to Disney World."
Thank you. That was precisely what I was thinking when I wrote that. I wasn't saying the backs have fumblitis...I had just heard where we have put it on the ground a few times in camp and seen where at least ONE of our backups did it in a big game situation. Hester didn't fumble, and he got the lion's share of the carries. I'd like to see how they hold on to the ball once we start giving Williams, Scott, Murphy, or Holliday 15-20 carries per game. The truth is, we don't know. That's why I want to see for myself.
