Nerves. Usually when a QB throws them all high like that they are just rattled. He never really planted his feet. Ran around way too much.
He showed he's a Freshman, playing on the road, on ESPN, against a Top 5 team. Other than that, no big deal.
True freshman who had all week to think about playing on the road in a tough environment, then actually having to play on he road in a tough environment, and the coaching staff did him absolutely zero favors on play calling.
Like others said, true freshman, first start in SEC game vs. big rival, hostile crowd. I knew he would struggle but thought he'd keep us close.
He wasn't ready for prime time. It's not Santa Fe high we just played, the play calling sucked and when they finally allowed him to throw we were down big and his arm was probably cold.
He's young and that is all , imo he should have played the whole game it's not like he was turning the ball over.
