the overall character of the group is excellent, yes. a huge factor when evaluating classes but something recruiting sites cant really rank.
Character guys make-a me happy. Losing to Bama make-a me sad. Now I know we can't steal guys last minute just because we are named LSU.
Best: The depth- we got SEVERAL potential studs Least: The fact that we had 7 four-star players and 1 "damn strong" three-star from this state sign somewhere else- DL D. Sentimore - Bama DL D. Jones - Arkansas RB E. Lacy - Bama WR K. Bell - Bama WR D. Benton - Auburn OL P. Lewis - Tex A&M OLB J. Stewart -Tex A&M RB M. Connor - Miss St Granted, we can't sign them all, but a few of these kids could have really helped us, IMO (Benton & Connor). :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I like that we seemed to have re-stocked along the o-line and at linebacker; those positions were getting thin. Don't like that we only ended up with one TB and one WR. That's going to hurt our depth in a couple of years.
We could have used another powerful rb. Miles last ditch effort to get Singleton after we lost Pratt may have foretold his concern that after we lose Scott we don't have another bruiser in the stable. After next year we have Ridley FB/RB, Murphy and Ford. Ridley, if he plays RB is the biggest at around 215lbs. In addition, we don't have any big backs over 200 lbs. coming out of LA that are highly ranked next year. We probably need to get a big back from out of state next year. The strength of this class is DL and the amount of speed we pulled in at different positions.
