i think this one will come down to who is going to make the mistakes. I think Florida and Urban Meyer are still pissed at the total classlessness of UGA all rushing the field last year when they scored the touchdown, and i think this will translate into some emotion in the first quarter. UGA will have all the players back that missed the LSU game and that will help.
I still think Matt Stafford had the game of his life last week, and i dont think he will repeat it this week. Florida has been winning and Tim Tebow hasnt had to do much at all, just manage the games, will this be the one where he breaks out? Georgia was getting crushed inside against us, but they have speed at linebacker and on defense so i think that will help counter the speed Florida has on offense. I see this being a close game but ultimately i think Florida will win this one 28 to 24, Knowshon Moreno will have trouble in the ground game and Matt Stafford will throw at least one INT that will be costly in this game and maybe either lead to some points or will be ran back for a touchdown, and then even more comparisons will come out about Jarett Lee being like Matt Stafford from the Tiger Nation.

Don't make excuses. Our players are young but I'm not making excuses for the points georgia put on the defense or the mistakes a redshirt freshman makes. It doesn't matter if its 2nd 3rd or 4th string as you called it. These players are SEC players, makes them some of the best in the country. So when a team scores 38 points which is what LSU did to Georgia and what Georgia did to LSU minus the two foo foo that Lee threw that was return for touchdowns. We both can't be happy as defenses. I know CMR can't be happy for the points LSU put on them and no doubt the points Georgia put on LSU is unacceptable. Lets face it neither team is NC caliber teams.

Well I try to not say too much about subjective issues but the above so called "toughest schedule" chart is a little much. Having Purdue as the 2nd toughest in the nation speaks for the credibility of the chart. Below is Purdue's schedule. This chart is based soley on W/L records of that teams opponents. It takes into no account how those schools accrued said records.

    Purdue's schedule:
    2008-2009 SCHEDULE
    [IMG]DateOpponent / EventLocationTime / Result[IMG]09/06/08vs. Northern Colorado [IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.W, 42-1009/13/08vs. Oregon [IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.L, 32-26 (2OT)09/20/08vs. Central Michigan[IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.W, 32-2509/27/08at Notre Dame[IMG]South Bend, Ind.L, 38-2110/04/08vs. Penn State[IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.L, 20-610/11/08at Ohio State [IMG]Columbus, OhioL, 16-310/18/08at Northwestern [IMG]Evanston, Ill.L, 48-2610/25/08vs. Minnesota [IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.L, 17-611/01/08vs. Michigan [IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.12:00 p.m. ET11/08/08at Michigan State[IMG]East Lansing, Mich.12:00 p.m. ET11/15/08at Iowa [IMG]Iowa City, IowaTBA11/22/08vs. Indiana [IMG]West Lafayette, Ind.

Now I will take nothing away from UGA's schedule, after all it's SEC stacked and any SEC team has their hands full with their SEC opponents alone. But Purdue?? From the looks above can you honestly say that schedule is tougher than ANY SEC school? Is it tougher than Arkansas (7) or UF (19). Only three SEC teams in the top 25 on this list while there is 5 out of 25 that are "Big 11" schools and also seven ACC schools in the top 25!

Toughest schedules?... If this chart was a factual statement it would be stacked with SEC schools...not just three.

I'm not sure why it seems like most here feel like Florida is WAY better than Georgia.

If Georgia can establish the run, which is very likely, it will become a close game.
The Florida secondary was exposed during the Mississippi game as one that can be beat when the corners are isolated. Georgia has enough wide out talent to be able to pull that off when using play action. Georgia went to Strong Safety matchups against LSU and there is no reason why they can't do the same against Florida.

I actually think that the Georgia linebackers will do better against the smaller Florida running backs than they did against LSU's bruiser.

    We shall see...

Probably because LSU's struggling offense lit gawga up like a Christmas tree. Florida's offense is much better than LSU's at this point. I'm not saying that Florida will shut gawga down, but gawga definitely wont be shutting florida's offense down. Look for Teblow to jump back in the Heisman race after this one.

-- Florida is going to go all out to stop Moreno. After last year, this is their biggest concern. To read comments from Florida coaches, players, and fans, they still don't seem to think much of Stafford.

Stafford will have to have another big game, but with Florida concentrating so much on Moreno, this will be very doable. Among our WRs, Florida will likely concentrate most on AJ Green with Jenkins or Haden playing him tight with help over the top from Major Wright. That leaves Massaquoi 1:1 with the other of the two. Still no sure thing for Georgia (Jenkins/Haden both very solid CBs), but what this does open up for us in a big way is that 3rd WR (Moore/Durham/Harris/Goodman) against Wondy Pierre-Louis or one of the other UF CBs... none of whom are really any good.

Look for a lot more of those swing passes (which Stafford puts on the money and to the WR so quickly) chipping away at these CBs repeatedly... just as against LSU. Run this until they fan out or press up to stop it... which then opens up more room for Green/Massaquoi... as well as Moreno running wide.

-- Florida's offense feeds heavily off momentum, often provided by big special teams plays this year. Georgia's punt team coverage is solid (1st in net punting in the SEC), and with Georgia's offense moving the ball so well, James won't be getting many punts in areas that give him a lot of room to work.

-- Demps/Rainey play into Georgia's strengths against the run. They can't go up the middle against our DTs (especially with Ellerbe back to man the middle... he's much better against the run than Gamble). They have to run wide out of the shotgun sweeps. Curran is a great LB, fast and great to the ball, but a little small, so against a straight ahead running game with strong RBs like LSU/Bama have, he got bounced around a little (especially with Ellerbe out). Rashad Jones did as well. Curran/Ellerbe/Dent/Gamble can fan out against Florida though since they know Demps/Rainey aren't coming through the middle. And our DEs are much better against the run than they are against the pass... if only because they aren't great pass rushers and thus rarely over pursue.

-- This puts the game heavily on Tebow's ability to pass. Georgia blitzed him heavily last year and he was horrible at reading the blitzes and getting out of it (sacked 6 times). He doesn't audible or check out of this stuff to nearly the extent that Stafford does. Given the weapons he has had to throw to while at Florida, he hasn't needed to in most games I guess. Yes, his non-throwing shoulder isn't hurting him this year as it was last year... but he also doesn't have quite the receiver group this year as he had last year. Also, he looks to run a lot less now than he did last year... as was the case in last year's game due to his banged up non-throwing shoulder. This is where needing to read blitzes well comes in.

Anyhoo, Florida will make a few plays and score some points, but they still won't be able to stop Stafford/Moreno/Southerland/Massaquoi... and now Green. Payback and celebration talk nonsense aside, the game will still come down to the play of the two teams on the field. And it will ultimately look pretty similar to last year's game.

We played both teams. Our defense stunk it up vs both teams. Our offense racked up points on one, and not the other. Florida appears to have hit their stride.
