    I kinda doubt he would leave an NFL head coaching job (no I don't think he's getting fired either) to be an assistant in college.

    I think he will leave Jacksonville (the smallest market in the NFL and a team on the decline) to be a head coach at a college club.

    but I emphasize HEAD coach.

    Who would a guy who's made it to the playoffs a handful of times on the NFL level as a head coach go and be a DC?

    Correct. He was the candidate I wanted to bring in when Alabama's coach left. No way he comes in as just a DC.
