What exactly has Raymond done? He has a group that will put at least 4 starters in the NFL and we continue to see coverage busts week after week, poor tackling, missed assignments etc.
They looked pretty good last year. The whole defense is a clusterfuck this season. Personally I'm undecided, this is the first season I could say he hasn't had them playing good.
Raymond is the reason a lot of DB's come to LSU. Because they know Raymond can develop the hell out of lock down DB's and put them in the NFL. Are there a few bad eggs from time to time? Yep. But who else thinks the only reason shitty players like Jefferson see the field is because Miles forced it? I do. He was committed to playing Jordan and is committed to making sure little brother gets in too. Also think Steele has shit on Raymond tjis year too. I still like Raymond.
Peveto has to go. I have never seen worse special teams play in 57 years of watching football. How many times did we take the ball out of the end zone at 'Bama and wind up at the 10 and how many times does any team we play wind up at the 35 or beyond.
You can't force these coaches on anyone the new coach needs to have the only say in who's on his staff
Agreed. Steele seems to be playing a brainiac D. You've got D-Backs that can play man freeing up a 5 to 6 man rush. I could probably count the blitzes on one hand this year. Chavis' defenses were so much more fun to watch.
Yes. Largest number of big plays given up by an LSU defense in a long time. And I am sorry, but it is not due to a lack of talent. Hiring Kevin Steele was the definition of insanity. Everybody saw what he couldn't do at Clemson as a DC.
