Not if you consider his overall record, and what he had been doing up to this year...

Well, the context is THIS year and I'd prefer 7 wins @ $139,285.00 a piece than:

    -7 @ $150,954.00
    -6 @ $295,416.00
    -6 @ $583,866.00

You must be either very wealthy or prejudiced. :hihi:

I completely agree that Spurrier and such may pull a lot of money to the school in other ways! Now that brings another question I have, did Meyer have some sort of simiular provision to his contract for a NC (I am sure he did), but I would be interested to know what he made before last season. I had no clue he was making that amount of money. Actually I would like to see this same breakdown from last year! Anybody have the energy to do that one???

I think they have to but once again I would be curious to find out if there is something written into the contract or do they just give him a raise.

All that money pouring into college football in the last couple of years from BCS bowl games and TV contract. Plus, the NFL, with its higher salaries, going after college coaches so colleges needed to pay more to keep their coaches as well as colleges going after NFL coaches. This rising tide has lifted all the boats.
