I didn't miss anything, I'm old enough to have been there for it all and I was for a lot of it. Also one sign isn't a majority, your observation skills suck.
Didn't exactly demonstrate a groundswell of support, either. Especially after the previous week's stomping. Look, all I'm saying is just because there's criticism doesn't necessarily make someone fair weather. It can go both ways. Fair weather is what mostly exists at Alabama. Most of us here are well aware of the shitty years, have lived through it, and have no desire to go back to it. And there is a downward trend in the program. If Miles can get it right, great. But he hasn't thus far, and it's the same issues over and over. Loyalty to the coach belongs with the players; mine lies with the LSU program.
My little girl was born 2 days earlier on Dec 30, and I remember watching that game at the hospital. That play had me cussing, and it pissed off my wife because I was more focused on the game than going home......we were checking out that afternoon. LoL
We'll find out if he got the message. If he still refuses to modernize the offense then his support will evaporate. Assuming he does want to modernize, he might not have the necessary QB. I'm not ready to give up on Harris. Its been a humbling month for him, maybe just what he needed if it makes him work even harder to improve. But hard to have a passing game without a QB. And yes, that's on Les. His job to ensure LSU has a quality QB.
we beat Iowa two years ago, your statement implies we lost in both bowl games ('as well'). someone stated harbaugh would eat miles alive and you replied 'we said the same thing about ferentz', and I said nobody uttered those words two years ago. now you're saying 'sure we did'?
I don't want to give up on Harris, either. There's something he's not getting between the ears. I'd like to see a new OC who knows how to teach.
Might want to check the tape. I didn't make the first statement, only responded to the second. My comment was in regards that we really should have kicked the crap out of Iowa, and we only won by one score. In Iowa (where I am from originally) they joke all the time about teams getting "Ferenzed" in that they regularly play teams much tougher than they should given the talent gap that exists between them. The fan base there loves the fact that they find ways to hang in games and sometimes win them, when they really have no expectation of doing so on paper.
