The Outhouse Bowl hasn't invited a team from the SEC West to play since January 1, 1997. They've had several opportunities to select better teams from the West but decided to go another direction.

The Cotton Bowl will have a chance to select LSU before the Outhouse Bowl. I hope the Outhouse really wants us and the Cotton selects us instead.

Of course if we don't win out we may be looking at Shreveport.

In defense of the Cotton Bowl (and why wouldn't I defend it because I'll go, since I live in Dallas?), the stadium just underwent a huge, expensive renovation; it should be much better than it was in '03.

As a note to the weather, yes, it can be bad; however, there's only been one year since I moved here 12 years ago where that was the case. The '01 Cotton Bowl was played on ice and snow (but, then again, so was the Independence Bowl that year.)

Other than a poor stadium and a QB playing sick (literally), I had a good time at the Cotton Bowl. My wife and I loved watching UT women wearing fur coats to a football game. Some of the outfits worn by Longhorn fans were unreal. I guess the "G" in GQ means gaudy for UT fans.

I'm guessing I can get a better steak in Dallas than at the Outhouse Bowl in Tampa.

fans said it was a huge improvement over the past.

Capital One. We went in 04' and had a good time until the last play. Plus Disney was really fun during New Years.

I can even recommend a great steak restaurant. The Tex-Mex isn't bad, either.

Considering I'll be in Atlanta for new years, it's Chick-fil-A/Peach all the way for me.

If not that then I'd love to see us in the Capital One or Outback but I feel like we're looking at Cotton or Peach.
