I'm thinking it will be a successful day if he..... 1. Looks compfortable running the offense. 2. Passes for over 150 yrds 3. Rushes for over 30 yards 4. Throws 1 or fewer INT's Anything other than that is gravy. Including winning the game. I hope we win, but really it doesn't matter as much as getting him ready for next year when we can get back to competeing for championships.
My expectations: - No pick 6's - look for open receivers - Show some emotion and get fired up 3 things we haven't seen much of this season.
I look for him to be poised and to go through his progressions. I think he'll make a few plays with his feet and will throw for 200ish yards.
I expect he won't have a huge game and will make some mistakes. I hope for more, but I don't expect it. I think we'll struggle to win the game and the defense will continue to be suspect. And we won't have a return game to speak of. Pessimistic at this time.
This is what I am most curious about. Will the team rally around him? Can he be a vocal leader in the huddle? How does JJ respond after a bad play? This, maybe more so than the stat line, will tell us a lot about what kind of QB we have going into Spring.
I agree. I posted those numbers to make the point that I don't think he has to blow up the statline to be successful today. Just lead the team, and improve. Haven't had that this year.
