I know a lot of us knew going in that it was going to be tough with a young QB, and that we could be looking at 2-3 losses this year. Given that, I was caught off-guard by how awful we looked against Georgia and Florida. However, here we are now with a 6-3 record and are in the Top 20 still. If we can navigate the rest of our schedule, we should still finish 9-3 going into the bowls which should get us a decent bowl, with a shot at another Top 10 finish. What bowl game do you see us in? Will it be the Capital One, Peach, or Cotton? None of the above?

My hope is that we can win out, play in a decent bowl, and finish in the top 10. I'd also like to see some improvement in our defense, or I think there should be some coaching changes in the offseason. I was apprehensive about the co-coordinator thing when I heard about it in the offseason. What say you?

I expect to win the rest of our games and see both QB's (Lee and Jefferson, who simply must come in sometimes to give the threat of a running QB.) Did you notice that there were several plays where Bama gave Lee the chance to run, almost daring him? On the pick six, Lee could've run for 15 yards (if he could run.)

I also expect to see our defense play again with the intensity exhibited Saturday.

I say we go to the Cotton Bowl and play either Texas or OU.

Esh... I think a matchup with Texas could turn out as bad as our last Cotton Bowl visit.

That's true. We didn't have a QB in January '03, either.

You know, I am one of Lee's biggest critics, but I can honestly say that I pull for the guy every time he's in the game. I WANT him to win. I WANT him to torch defenses.

That being said, it's not happening and he's looking absolutely awful as the season progresses. I think Ole Miss might beat us, and I think we'll have our hands full with Arky.

I hope we win out, but even if we do, it's still a season without one marque win. At least in '04, we only lost 2 regular season games and had at least one solid win.

We'll win our bowl game, and it will be a marquee win.

I EXPECT to win all 3 games and play in the Cotton Bowl.

    The way I see it,

    1. Who's most mentally ready to play?
    Neither.
    2. Who's the better runner?
    Jefferson
    3. Who has the stronger arm?
    Jefferson
    4. Who has the better chance of tackling someone once an interception is made?
    Jefferson

Yet, Lee contiues to start and continues to say,"I need to get better" after each game.

Let's be honest here. Lee's best game, or should I say - half -, was the Auburn game. He has gotten worse each game since.

Who cares? You are an outsider who doesn't know anymore than the rest of us.

I expect us to play hard every game like we did against alabama. i can live with that loss because our team looked really good, and played their hearts out. I was proud to be an LSU fan saturday. I was in Texas and went out after the game in my LSU gear and we must have had over 100 people come up to us and say, man, if you guys just had a semi capable quarterback that game would have been over in the first half. Sometimes the best team does not win.

kudos to our squad for a great effort saturday.:geaux:

Uh, SabanFan, isn't that what a message board is supposed to be about?

Of course, I'm not an "insider" in terms of being on the Coaching staff, but I have played QB, graduated from LSU, and have eyes.
