Wow! And we wonder why kids get inflated ego's and play games with their commitments.

I would hope the odds would be extremely low that Blanco - or any Louisiana politician - would do that. For some reason, that just strikes me as crossing the line ethically.

You think she is actually smart enough to conjure up something like that, hell she doesn't even know she has control of the Louisiana Army National Guard. I don't think LSU is in danger of Blanco pulling those types of political strings.

Why would we want Blanko talking to a recruit?
That would do more harm than good!

Text message from Blanko: Dear Eugene, Next time you come to Baton Rouge for a visit please kick a shot out! We can go look at some Hurricane damage, or get our freak on! Peace out!

That would scare the crap out of any recruit!

Makes me wonder about the "accidental" meeting between an Ole Miss recruit & Deuce McAlicaster...

Don't know about lately but it wouldn't be new ground for LSU. Huey Long was a master recruiter and Big John McKeithen visited with a few recruits in his day. Of course, that was simpler time and place without all the rules that exist now. However, had there been rules, it wouldn't have made a $hit to Huey. Or to Big John.

I don't think she would do this, have the brains (or the stupidity, however you lookat it) to do this, or the balls. I just thought it was amazing that this went on. Furthermore, I think a text message from her could only hurt us. I doubt a recruit will tell all his buddies "hey man, Blanco threw me a shoutout."

Also, we wonder why these guys heads are so big.....

Blanco doesn't even like LSU. We are in no danger of this happening.

Hopefully, the odds of Blanco calling---or worse, meeting---a recruit are less than zero, as meeting up with that old hag is enough to send any blue chipper running for the hills in terror.

I think she found out during the hurricane debacle what's most important for her to worry about and it's not football. She has more important things to worry about in this state right now....or should.
