We know we have a great shot at landing a number of really good players. No one will be suprised if Charles Scott, Richard Murphy, Shomari Clemons, Perrish Cox, and people of that nature commit here. But in order for Miles to have a successful recruiting season he has to get a few commitments from some out of state guys that aren't exactly expected. I want to throw some names out there and see what are the chances of us landing them.

    Jonas Mouton, LB
    Chris Bell, WR
    Tim Hawthorne, WR
    Jermaine Gresham, TE
    Louis Holmes, DE
    Akeem Hebron, LB
    AJ Wallace, CB
    Antwine Perez, S
    Allen Walker, ATH
    Brandon Warren, TE/ATH

If we could land a few of those guys that would be awesome. Mouton would be the best because USC is really after him, plus he needs to come back home.

I would say Asher Allen, CB out of Georgia would be a good way to start. Also, there's a LB from Maryland--not exceptionally big, but extremely fast and IMO, under-rated (you can't coach speed).

We are one of the favorites for a lot of out of staters. As kids commit elsewhere, we will move or down on other list. It's too early to really make any kind of assumptions on most of them, but I feel good about what Miles and his staff are doing from all the great things I've been reading from these recruits.

    Also don't forget:

RB/DB EJ Shankle and Safety Leonard Hewitt--both from Lufkin, Texas, and both were very high on their LSU visits.

Perrish Cox, who's a 4-star CB from Texas

Bani Gbayu OLB/S from Maryland. VERY similar to Hebron (who's also from Maryland)..... Gbayu (OLB/S) stands at 6-1 and 205 lbs. and runs a 4.52-forty. Hebron (OLB/S) stands 6-1 and 175 lbs. and runs a 4.5-forty and would be THRILLED with one if not BOTH!

Hebron, IMO, would stay as a safety. He's just a few pounds lighter from being a true SS, but with 5-10 extra lbs., would be ideal for a FS--especially given his height and speed.

Gbayu, also IMO, I would bulk him up to play OLB (although he already has the right weight now to play either safety positions, I think with our young safties already, Gbayu would get more playing time as an 210-215 lbs. and his speed would cause MAJOR havoc on offenses as an OLB, and could easily shed some of that down the road should depth at Safety become an issue or simply play SS. ...a 6-1, 215 lbs. SS that runs a 4.5-forty is NFL caliber, baby! ;)

I didn't list Cox because right now I see him as a very heavy LSU lean.

I was just trying to get a response as to which of these guys we have a real shot at. Because of the state of our program most guys are going to list as us a favorite in the beginning. I wanna know who has a real interest in coming here. Like, take Perez, he has set up a visit with us and seems pretty high on us, but I keep hearing it is Michigan or USC for him.

Mouton and Walker are the only two guys out of that list that I feel like are without a doubt interested in coming to BR.
