Unfortunately, I don't think he is the big back we are looking for. Off the top of my head I think he is about 180 lbs. I think Miles is looking for a big back to take the place of Scott, especially since we lost Pratt.

Ridley should be our big back for the next few years.. he'll be a soph this coming season I think. Rivals lists him at 6'0 222 lbs. He runs hard.

Who's going to be his replacement is the question.. of course we need another big-back on the roster in case he goes down.

We need 3 RBs in this class and they will not be all big backs.

Gillum is a speed guy who I have heard compared to Keiland Williams. He will be someone LSU takes a hard look at and has a chance to receive a commitable offer.

Linebackers is not a need?? I see according to Scout that LSU has offered only two linebackers & one of them has commited to Texas.

Based purely on numbers, we took 4 this past class, & 3 the class before. I wouldn't say it is a huge need. What we need our difference makers at LB.

I guess thats what I was meaning about linebackers. Where are the All American linebackers? It would be nice to get at least one outstanding linebacker this year. I know its early (not really) but you gotta offer them to get them & with only one offer on the table seems we are not even looking..

I do not know why you think we are not looking.

We have offered 3 MLBs and 5 OLBs so far and most are considered to be top of the line. Plus there is a ton of others around the country saying they have been in contact with LSU but have yet to receive offers.

Great Info & excuse me for not knowing. I mentioned that scout only lists one offer that wasn't commited & that was all the information I had. Thanks for the update. I was kinda fishing for some more information anyway... thanks again.. :geaux:

Check out the offers page sticky up top and I have compiled the offers from Rivals and Scout.

My early prediction is we are going after at least 2 OLBs and one MLB in this class.
