How many times must we answer the same question? What are you? Two?

seems like the biden policy is causing punishing oil prices and we should maximize domestic oil production, which seems at odds with your environmental policies.

higher oil prices are good, in that they reduce consumption and save the earth right? no answer, insult/deflection?

Biden is likely to change his mind on the issue. I agree... a total fuckup.

Yes .. but for "every preceding republican president" before, it was just a talking point for getting votes. Trump actually oversaw it happen.

While we did export more oil than we imported under Trump and I give him credit for supporting more production, we were not completely energy independent. This is due to the fact that there are different grades of oil (heavy, light). We had to import heavy crude because most of our refineries process heavy crude. Fracked (tight) oil is lighter and we have fewer refineries that can handle it, although efforts have been made to convert from heavy to light.

I wish Republicans and Democrats could agree that we need more energy no matter the source (oil, natural gas, wind, solar, etc). They should be encouraging ALL forms of energy production so that we don't have to depend on hostile countries.

this is trump doctrine and democrats deeply oppose it. they think fossil fuels will literally end the human race. seems like a stupid dangerous thing to think.

like many poor political claims (we almost lost our democracy!) it is in unprovable and unfalsifiable speculation about things that re very complex and by nature chaotic.

biden hates, for example, fracking, which is a magnificent way to get fuel to heat the homes of poor minority trans muslims.
