Your stuff is so incoherent and scattershot that I've become convinced you're only typing for finger exercise. Don't you get enough of that by picking your nose?

do you think we should try to be energy independent by maximizing domestic oil production, or should we reduce our oil production to save the environment and instead buy foreign oil?

The answer is to use the source of power that provides the densest, cheapest most reliable available. There are many advantages if the power is clean but the preceding are much more important At this time it’s gas and nuclear.
However we should never limit ourselves to something just because it’s good now. We should continually strive to develop new more efficient reliable cheaper and cleaner resources. There are alternative fission nuclear plant designs that show that promise. Likewise fusion may actually be in the horizon. Wind can never provide enough dense reliable power to be the primary source but can be an element. Same with Solar.

That is a nonsensical proposal. Foreign oil is generally dirtier to produce, refine and burn as it has more impurities, especially Russian,Venezuelan or Iranian oil.
what does your question have to do with my comment?

its not required that it does.

do you think we should try to be energy independent by maximizing domestic oil production, like trump wanted?

We should try to be energy independent by investing in other sources of energy.

should we maximize domestic oil production, or whould we buy from overseas when we need oil?

arent higher oil prices a key to saving the earth from climate change, as we desperately need to reduce fossil fuel burning? nothing reduces consumption like high prices.

so a yes or no question is unanswerable, owing to you being allied with trump on the presumed answer?

trump says we should produce oil domestically, so you cant agree with that?

its very simple thing. of course we should produce oil domestically and buy exactly zero foreign oil.
