Could be the play. The distraction could be the push for Kyiv with all these conscripts while these other regions are secured and controlled with the more advanced and skilled force. The media is currently hyping how terrible the Red army is but seems to leave out how well Russia handled Syria and US expansion in the ME there effectively winning that. It is just a fundamental lack of understanding how Russia views conflicts, people, and war. A troop in the Russian army is no different than a piece of equipment. Some more valuable than others.

The problem is short memories and conditioning. Everyone in this country from the end of WW2 where Uncle Joe was Roosevelt the commies best bud to BAM! Russia was evil personified when in reality it was the USSR. It is a knee jerk reaction not unlike Pavlov’s dogs conditioned response’s. Hear Russia, salivate and agree with those in charge.
