All this Putin admiration by trumpians, after the Jan. 6 insurrection and all the Republican moves to suppress votes, reminds us once again that trumpians in particular and Republicans in general truly despise democracy.

Reuters is reporting that Hungary now supports cutting Russia out of SWIFT. Hungary was the last EU country to oppose Russia's removal. Putin has lost Orban.

Just because someone is fighting Russians doesnt mean they want true freedom. The Afghans fought the Russians too. They hated our freedom.

That area has been fighting each other for a very long time guy.

None of this has all been confirmed and I would not trust the news on either side.

    a good read

from the article: None of this — no real Putin problems — existed from 2016 to 2020. Trump knew how to handle Putin, as he did the North Korean dough boy, the Arab Muslim countries that joined the Abraham Accords, the American economy and overcoming unemployment among Blacks, Hispanics, and women. Trump got the Mexican border controlled, supported ICE and other law enforcement, promoted historically Black universities and colleges, achieved a more racial issues–free society, advanced energy independence, and promoted religious freedom. For all his occasional bluster and disquieting personal flaws, Trump led outstandingly with excellence. He did not push secret-code buttons starting nuclear war. He did not conduct a single chaotic evacuation overseas nor initiate a single war, even as he killed Qasem Soleimani, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Hamza bin Laden, and Abu Hasan al-Muhajir like dogs.

Trump Knew How to Handle Putin. Biden Has No Clue.
It took only one year for our fearless leader to plunge us into chaos on a global scale

We’re witnessing the emergence of a unique historical figure in Zelensky.

He declined an offer of evacuation from the United States. Ukrainian forces held Kyiv into Saturday morning and Zelensky emerged onto the streets of the capital, walking with his countrymen. This is a level of personal bravery that we are utterly unaccustomed to seeing from heads of state.¹ Zelensky’s conduct over the last few weeks—which has been utterly extraordinary—has substantially buttressed Ukraine’s resolve. He has become more than a man. More than a leader. He has become a symbol.

What we are witnessing is the emergence of a figure who will become a key part of Ukrainian history for the next century. There will be statues of him all over the country. Ukrainians will name their children after him. This is like watching another country’s Washington or Churchill emerge in real time.

I hope we all appreciate how special this is. And how rare. Because normally when world-historical figures emerge, it’s because they’re bad guys.

Putin, Biden and Trump pale in comparison to this man.

You’re so funny and pitiful. I’m sure the pictures and videos of destroyed Russian tanks and aircraft are just staged fakes, right prideful? You’re so twisted that you can’t stand the truth if it doesn’t conform to your myopic vision. I would feel sorry for you if you weren’t so poisonous.

Your ignore and deny what you don’t want to see. You forget (or maybe not) that the Ukrainian people have rejected Russia and authoritarian rule for independence and democracy multiple times by vote and revolution. The Ukrainian desire for western open society is strong and deep.
A little historical note for you prideless. There was a Ukrainian resistance to the Soviet Union well into the 1950s.
