No. This was with regards to my scam comment. Today, I believe more money is laundered and wasted than used for defense.
China's approach is much more subtitle. They treat their citizens about as well as Russia, but have infiltrated far more societies IMO.
NATO was formed to defend free Europe from the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. That nation and that alliance are long gone.

maybe so but at any rate, our points stands, NATO is a defensive force. they are a not a threat. nato "expansion" implies its against the will of the people. it isnt. its a great gift to these countries, most recently north macedonia. this is good becasue countries generally have a choice to ally with with the good guys or the bad guys. generally quality of life goes up to the extent a country is allied with the US/nato and not china or russia. so estonia is a nicer place to visit than belarus. your point from before that not everyone wants western values etc was wise and important to understand. people dont know what is good for them, or simply like different things. but from where we are sitting, nato is good.
I can't believe this is even being discussed on this board. Our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers gave their lives fighting communism so that all could live freely. Now you have people essentially pissing on their graves by attacking NATO for defending out freedom. When did we become a nation of pinko commie bastards?
