nola.com reporting today that the Saints did make inquiries to trade into the top 10, but the target was either Horn or Surtain, not Jones. Article doesn't say what prevented a deal, but a national insider (cant remember who) tweeted earlier this week that the asking price from the unnamed other team was 3 number ones. If true, glad they didn't pull the trigger, only wish they would have used the number one they kept on a more solid prospect than Turner
I wonder if it was Denver who picked Surtain? Probably a few teams were in the mix. I heard a rumor yesterday, I think on Off the Bench that Denver's pick and Green Bays pick may be a pre-cursor to an Aaron Rodgers trade, AARon in Denver... Put him on the Saints I say
panthers.com reports that Carolina was targeting Terrace Marshall in the 2nd, but wanted to slide back a few picks, until they heard the Saints intended to pick him at 60, so they stayed at 59 and took him. They also got Horn, so basically, Carolina got our draft. I hate them.
