Don't forget, the use of 2 QBs and the fact that we finally have come to the realization we can use multiple running backs will now force defenses to defend us on multiple levels, allowing our offense to be much less predictable. I like the fact that Lee will not feel the entire pressure on his shoulders with Hatch sharing more time now. It should allow Lee to play much more relaxed. And the defense looks like it is back. In full effect. The light switch went on. Even Sheppard made a beautiful play late in the game.
Teams like LSU dont "rebuild" in the sense of the word..its more like "reloading" I still think we will lose 3 more games before the season is over and wont be making it back to Atl, but thats to be expected! The defense should up to play tonight and THAT WAS GREAT to see! I hope they can keep the same intestity up for next week. Our offense is not good, with the exception of RBs and TEs we are lacking. In the game thread people were commenting on the looks Byrd was giving the sidelines after badly thrown balls, perhaps there is some deision amongst them and Lee about the bad passes that have been thrown their way lately OR maybe they just cant catch! QB Hatch seemed to take control of the game in the 2nd half and I feel thats a huge part in the reason we won...HOWEVER I was not impressed with this S. Carolina team and if our Offense is required to win the game for us against Bama, UGA and Ole Miss.....I just dont see it happening! Season is not over yet just dont expect the SECC lets get through this year with no matter injuries to anyone, pick up 3 more wins and go win a bowl game!
SC has a phenomenal defense with a building offense. We beat a good team tonight and I might say some impressive building blocks for the dawgs next week. Considering our youth, we are where we should be. If we can continue to build on through the rest of the year, we have a hell of a shot at Atlanta. Mighty impressive I say. :geaux:
I think alot has to go into who we played. Just like our first 4 games of the season. Eventhough they are at home we have a tough test coming up! You are only as good as the team you play against!
I didn't get to see much of the game as everyone seems to get married in New Orleans in October. BUt as mentioned elsewhere, the Tigers had to overcome some adversity on the road, and pulled through. If I heard correctly, the cocks finished with 42 yards of offense in the 2nd half. Very nice! :thumb:  :crystal:
Crip, who are the 3 losses to from here on out? You do realize you're saying that LSU will lose 3 of the next 5 at the almighty Death Valley.
After one of Byrd's drops, you could hear the coach yell at him from the sideline - "You've gotta catch that damned ball!" Byrd - who is usually very reliable - was shaky early in the game and dropped a couple he should have had. But there were a few that he had no chance to get to as well. Gotta catch the ones you get your hands on before you can give dirty looks for bad passes. Lafell had a few misses that should have been catches, too. It's not J Lee's fault. Some is, but some isn't. :geaux:
He's probably thinking Georgia, Bama and Ole Miss..... I'm thinking we should win two of those three. Just don't ask me which ones.... some of 'em are going to be close. Much like tonight. :geaux:
