With WVU leaving to go to Big 12, and Pitt and Syracuse already gone, can the Big East survive? A better question might be, would anyone care if the Big East vanished?
I care insofar as their already ridiculous automatic BCS bids disappear, and the conference limit is lifted. Yet again, we will have a scenario where either a 2-loss Arky or LSU will be left out of a BCS bowl.
It's about to time to take away their automatic BCS bid me thinks. I know they have an invite extended to Boise St but that isn't likely to happen.
Its an embarrassment that the Big East has had an automatic bid for as long as they have. The only real shame of it all is the fall of Big East basketball.
