Hey all, I realize I'm on the wrong side here, but I've been trying to get started writing some short articles while I'm overseas (safe assignment, not Baghdad or Iraq this time). I thought some of you might appreciate this one. I appreciate any feedback on this or others at the link, you all may have. The Good, The Bad, and The Crazies | Bleacher Report Sorry to drop on here for the first time to solicit readers, but I wanted some real feedback as I get started. Thanks all.
Nice job. Though I have to say my own road to fandom didn't really begin until I started college at LSU. My immediate family are not sports people at all, and I was actually a big basketball fan in high school until I caught the college football sickness in college. But once you're there, it's just like you describe it. Stay safe and God bless.:usaflagwa
That's a nice piece of writing, Army, although I can't understand how you can't see that your team is a joke!:rofl::rofl: I look forward to more article links and posts on TF, as well as your inevitable excuses when the Tigers take the Tide to the woodshed this fall. This brother of a US Marine thanks you for your service. :usaflagwa
Good article, and Welcome to Tiger Forums! We're the best of the LSU fan forums, so stay around! Occasionally, we might be capable of a little objectivity (no promises where the Tide is concerned).
Good read. It's unfortuneate you had to renounce God to follow the Tide and Satan.....uh, I mean Saban. Renounce him while you still have a chance and become a Tiger fan. Guess we really are a little different. View attachment 11890
Also, nice pic in the introduction to your article, but I much prefer this one : View attachment 11891
You just described my fan development to a tee! My family were anti-sports fans and I followed the NBA through HS by my own volition. I didn't follow football until my brief stint at LSU. I remember drinking with Josh Reed after that 300 rec. yard game he had back in the day against (I think) Cowbell U. I haven't looked back since.
Very nice article, I enjoyed reading it though I am still trying to figure out if "an excepted form of brainwashing" is the same as an accepted form of brainwashing.:hihi:
