Does anyone else not see our chance? We can beat bama, arkansas and Ole Miss, if only we can get by Tulane and Tech.

Seriously though, I truly believe we have a remote shot. I feel we'd have a chance against a healthy Florida team but they're getting pretty deep with their injuries so the team we'd meet in the SECCG would not be the same one.

No, I don't want to beat them without starters and would prefer them being able to play, just looking at what is, currently.

USC will lose to Oregon this weekend and Texas could to Okie St. TCU and Boise won't get in over a one loss SEC champion imo.

Getcha tickets now, who's coming to the ship?

Yeah you're right... we do control our own destiny. If we win out we win the national title... on the realistic side, while yes it could be done prolly won't happen. If UT gets by OSU I think they roll the rest of the year, and I think if Iowa beats OSu which I think they will, then the Hawkeyes win the Big 10 and head to the Rose. Realistically I don't see us winning a national title this season... I see us losing the SECCG and winning the Sugar Bowl... then the national title runs start next season with an even nastier defense and a more experienced offense.

Whatever the outcome of this season, next year will be a HUGE ride with that Defense and hopefully some developed offensive linemen

The Tigers have not played their best game yet! Our D gets better and the O finds its self watch out.

Not many teams have a very serious O and a great D!!! Bama is a great D and limited on O. Gators and playing get by O and good O. I think right now LSU has more up side than Bama or the Gators. I am saying I think we have a better chance of playing better ball than we have played than Bama or the Gators!!

Ole Miss will still be a tough game even if we beat Bama. The Hogs have beaten us 2 years running.

Man you gotta love being a LSU Tigers!!!!

That is the key, we have a lot of upside with the way the schedule shapes up and possibly our offense finally getting on track (need to develop some consistency now). We do have a formidable remaining schedule, but it sets up nicely with a practice game prior to ALA, then another practice game prior to Ole Piss, and then Arky at home. Some tough games there, but do-able. If we manage to get through that stretch with an offense that remotely resembles last nights, and develop some consistency on the O-side, we could definitely get that rematch with FLA, and now have some motivation to show how we can really play! I agree that FLA and ALA seem to have peaked on offense, whereas LSUs is just coming around with a mixture of young talent (QB, OL), and some experienced players (RB, WR).

What a difference a week can make, eh? More correctly, what a difference when we get back to basics on offense and abandon the sideline changing the play at the line of scrimmage, and abandon the option. Those two changes were the key to the Auburn game, IMO, and Auburn making so many mistakes.

Now that Bama is not playing Florida International, their offense doesn't look great, except any time Ingram touches the ball. He's better than any back we have.

JJ is developing at QB, this week it looked like he benefitted from the week off. Let's hope its permanent development.

Bama's D has more strength than us on the front 4 (Mt. Cody), we match them on the back 7. It should be a whale of a game.

Bama will rightly be favored on their home field. is capable of pulling the upset.

Well, I am fired up too, but we need to really understand that Auburn was pretty bad AND we did not capitalize on ALL our opportunities. We have got to do that. Against UA and UF we cannot let TD's slip away.

    Along with:

    Shorter drops
    Shorter passes
    Quicker runs up the middle.

We can do it, but WE are going to have to do it. We need to focus on us, not possible shortfalls of other teams.

I've already posted this on several occasions.

We will need 2 out of the following 3 teams to lose a game however:

    Texas
    Iowa
    Cincinnati

We will jump USC eventually (they don't need to lose again). And yes, LSU gets in over an undefeated TCU or Boise State.

Iowa only has 1 tough game left at Ohio State.
Texas only has 1 tough game left at Oklahoma State (next weekend).
Cincinnati has 2 tough games (vs WVU and at Pittsburgh).

    Few, if any, teams do.
