was a frustrating one to watch, that's for sure... never played the ball and rarely even put his hands up..... when he wasn't beat by ten yards.......

I remember Hookfin. Was it hook's fault he sucked? Alem is much more talented than he has shown this year. At least we knew Hookfin was terrible going in, everyone thought Alem was going to be the truth, hell he was even on 1st round mock draft boards at the beginning of the season.

He would be good in a 3-4 defense as a rush DE, like Ware. But he doesnt understand how to stop the run. He doesnt understand the he has to hold the block on the run and let the linebacker eat up the running back. Once he is gone up field, the tackle is free to block the linebacker after he has blown past the runner. Dorsey was a master at playing the run.

And, of course, he was usually beat by 10 yards.

And you know what's really scary about all of that... We didn't have anybody better to replace him on the field...

Corey Webster, Travis Daniels, Ronnie Prude were all on the roster Hook's Jr. and Sr. season.

Corey was a WR that year so he certainly couldn't have played Defense at that point.

Travis Daniels and Ronnie Prude were both freshman redshirting that year.
Travis lost his RS during the SEC Championship game when we needed him to play because of injuries in the 2 deep.

Maybe they could have played, certainly they were more talented, but that does not mean they were better at that point in their LSU careers.
