LSU will go 10-2 this year, with losses to 2 of the 3 best teams in the country by a combined 19 points.

It's frustrating, but will still be a successful season.

I was just thinking that we have a pretty good team this year. The winning instinct is there too. Early on when the team was still putting it all together, they found ways to win. The team know how to win the big games too. Just not quite enough firepower to get it done. Been in every game until late. A very promising season.

Agree with that. Quite frankly, I think we're a better team than what most of US thought we were. I'd be ecstatic with 10-2...but I know we actually could have been 11-1 or even 12-0 had we executed a little better.

What I mean is...when we played UF, I didn't think we were the #4 team in the country. However, now that we've collected a couple of losses...both games we could've won...I think we ARE the #4 team in the country. We just happened to lose to #1 and #3.

I agree. Thanks for the post CParso.

Watching our guys battle makes me proud.

We were right there until the end yesterday.

Why frustrating? It's a minor rebuilding year for LSU after a 7-5 regular season in 2008. 10-2 is exactly what most of us predicted in the preseason. We win the bowl game, like we usually do, and it's another 11-2 season which is a fine year of football in any conference, especially in the tightly competitive SEC.

i'm still saying that if miles goes 10-2 with this team it will be his best coaching job at LSU so far.

too many fans think our talent is head and shoulders above anyone else's. they're wrong.

inexperience in key positions plays a huge role. this isn't or was at any time "our year."

anyone who believed different is delusional.

this still has a chance to be a great year. we hung with a big bad bama team at their place in a year where they'll be contending for a NC. basically, if this is the best they have to offer, i'm not so scared of bama in the future.

we'll be fine. i'm a little worried about our play on both lines and the O line's future, but nonetheless, '10 and '11 should be special years.

Especially if he can get them fired up to play Tech this weekend. Key game. They can strap it on and make their new goal 10-2 or they can mail it in after yesterday's big downer. Big crowd would help.

losing to 1 florida and 3 ala is nothing to be disappointed about ( this season) when you play against such high profile teams and heisman candidates and highly ranked teams---it only speaks volumes about your program-- LSU is a top 10 team any day, any place PERIOD! Now, we will be known as the highest ranked and best 2 loss team in NCAA.

we'll smoke whoever we go bowling with and if its the peach bowl again, im fine with that.

im proud of the tigers and the game they played- unfortunately one mistake and it costs the game- but thats sec football

If the Tigers finish strong it will be a very good year. Only 2 loses each to a top 3 team isnt bad. Especially with such a young team. And dont forget that somehow both Florida and Bama each lucked into a bye week before LSU. Tigers are following a typical LSU trajectory this year where they get stronger and stronger as the season goes on. A sign of good coaching. Woudnt shock me if by seasons end, LSU is looking as good as any team in the country. Considering 5 loses last year and how mediocre the team looked in a few early games, I think we fans should be well pleased right now.

Agree with CP but I don't think any elite team exists anywhere this year.
 Maybe TCU or Boise State?
