its not, we have named loston repeatedly, but when your MLB has 18 solo tackles thats more of a problem.
yes Loston has been bashed nearly as much the worst player I have ever seen in the life that was preseason All-American #1 team I would not draft Loston or even sign him as an UDFA if I were an NFL GM. He is that terrible and lost on the field. The only thing he was capable of doing was crush people, and both college and the Pros have taken that away from safeties. It's as if Loston knew before the season started his mojo was taken away from him.
DT's aren't going to get tackles, at least not ones that you're forced to double team. So that's not an indictment against either of those two using this stat. But both have underwhelmed this season. There is no denying that.
It's on Welter because he is a middle linebacker, they generally have the most tackles, or a safety. When was the last time LSU didn't have a guy hit 100 tackles?
I recall Minter being a late bloomer. A lot was expected early, and he received lots of criticism here on this forum...... until that one season, his last. He had an amazing year and it seems to have overshadowed his initial slow start. You may be right that the BADL had something to do with that slow progress, though.
