Wait...you're gonna watch it again? Mid 4th quarter, I was so po'd (had NO idea HOW po'd I'd actually get...) that I erased it off of my DVR.

Next, please. I don't wanna see that again.

Oh, and I went to my scheduled recordings and erased College Gameday Final. I didn't really want to hear about that "gutsy" UNC performance.

The offense showed consistency in the first half, but the OL needs to dominate from the line of scrimmage better. Jefferson improved a great deal. Still made a couple of mental mistakes, but he showed great improvement over last year. I think they used Ford as a water boy.

this. or miami of ohio. or jacksonville state.

yeah, we have work to do. a lot. but those other teams/games arent being used as "excuses". they are examples of how it could have been worse.

I didn't realize the coaches called the "hey let's fumble the ball in our own territory every time we can" play. UNC is a quality opponent regardless of who was out. Everyone blaming the coaches needs to realize we won. Can't believe these threads already popped up.

I think we knew it could come to this. Anything less than total domination would be chalked up as a moral victory for UNC and a moral loss for us.

Again, I watched many games today, and UNC wasn't nearly as bad as most of the teams I watched. They could've beaten a lot of the teams in that joke of a top 25--probably including TCU.

And Florida looked worse than I ever seen them look, even with Zook. I hope they have fun with their inexperienced QB. As we know, that's a joy beyond joys.

    that's false

they had 2 big plays after 2 big returns (a td pass of 50 yards and a run of 50 yards by Shepard), the first td was all of a 30 yard drive

The remaining drives were all botched up in many different ways.

There was never any continuity or consistency on offense the entire game.

Every year we say we have a lot of work to do, we need improvements, yadda, yadda, yadda. But yet each year it never gets done.

Even in the championship year we weren't playing as well at the end of the year as we were in the beginning.

This team hasn't showed any improvement since that year.

Lack of intensity comes from the coaches. When you fumble the ball and get a love tap on the helmet, complacency tends to set in.

I would have no issue if we actually played North Carolina. But they were shorthanded by 8 starters and 7 other players who would have seen significant playing time in this game.

So who did we play tonight? We have no idea. But it wasn't the 18th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. It was something a LOT less. A LOT less.

Imagine LSU with Drake Nevis and 2 other starters on our D-line missing as well as our entire secondary. Any decent offense would have mauled us from beginning to end.

:geaux: After observing the near meltdown that's going on here on TF after tonights win, it's hard to imagine what'd be goin' on had the Tigers lost.:rolleye33: Much better to be 1 - 0 with a "W" to start the season than the alternative. IMO, UNC's moral "almost" win don't mean shyt! They lost. They're still 0 - 1 when it's all said and done. :LSU231:
