    He did. According to Paul he didn't want to leave but Troy Middleton who was a Lt Gen in WW2 and then Pres of LSU essentially ordered him to go to Army and revitalize the program.

    I was 7 and the 1960 Sugar Bowl when we lost to Ole Piss 21-0 (sound like 2011?) in a revenge game really broke my heart.

    im still taking mathieu. if he wouldve played 4 yrs, like cannon, cassanova etc were forced to do, he would have tripled the ncaa career forced turnovers and defensive scoring records. cannon was great im told but there have been/will be many like him. there has only been one mathieu.
