While I had the same interpretations of the game, I had the opposite reaction. The fact that we played so well and that we showed so much against such a talented team made the loss that much worse. In the NCG, I had high hopes and we didn't come close to playing up to expectations, whereas this game, we exceeded expectations and then some, but came up short at the end. That drove me nuts.

You guys are both right that the future looks a lot brighter now, though. It just makes me think "what if" even more, though.

Well, this is just a suggestion...............but what if you take the "mojo" contents from this last game and mount them in a nice frame, kinda like a jersey, (ie never to be worn again)
and put them up for auction at one of the LSU functions in the metroplex..................I will certainly be glad to "alert" the Fort Worth Chapter that a "worthy" item will be
up for bid!!! If LSU makes it to Cotton Bowl I could see numerous "photo ops" with you and the NEW and VERY PLEASED new owner!!!!I don't care what my wife says, "it/they" would represent LSU on my "Me Wall"!!!

My dad was over his ranting by yesterday, but he was pretty down on the coaching staff Saturday night.

I'm still not answering it today. I work in Washington, DC, and one of the first things I saw today after my daily commute on Metro into town was some random dude wearing a Bama jacket.

I had breakfast with my new boss this morning and as luck would have it he's a Bama grad and isn't quite aware of how deep my purple and gold stripes run, yet.....anyway as he's telling me about how awesome Bama is I'm putting on my best professional front not saying anything when I really wanna rip his gotdamn face off.....anyways, the conversation turns to the new 6.0 iphone software that's available and the mapping features bla bla, so when he's showing me this on his phone he goes to the bathroom......."somehow" he's now got an alarm set for 2:30 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. tonight sleep well Bama fan, sleep well......:)

Yeah, for me Saturday night was much worse. It was obvious that the NCG game was over before halftime, the team had no life what-so-ever. Saturday was exciting... we just took control of the game and were completely dominating them and then the bubble burst. It was devastating.
