Go back and read the posts, slim. Another duck fan said that's what was said about oregon before beating michigan in the big house. I don't recall anyone saying oregon can't win in big stadiums. You see, this is how rival posters start to make an ass out of themself, by not reading the post thoroughly, immediately putting fingers to keyboard, and pressing submit reply before common sense has chance to catch up.
Oh, I'm not butt hurt; I wrote that for your benefit, not mine. Some guys will interpret what you wrote as "sh!t talking" and then the games begin. Just trying to head it off before that happens, bro.
lol its all good im not here to **** talk just to chat with the enemy until the game of the year starts. The whole college football universe will be watching this. What a way to start the season sorry if the butthurt comment was out of line :]
Not at all, man. I'm not very good at talking smack, anyway. I try to stay away from making predictions before the season starts. There are some who will go through the "we're gonna do this, we're gonna do that", but I think most kind of reserve judgement until after the season starts. That said, nearly all will vehemently defend past seasons of LSU and the SEC. We may not always agree on politics or the head coach's decision-making or particular plays. Most of us don't come from priveleged backgrounds (not saying oregon fans do), and most of what we do have we've had to work our ass off to get. We come from a generally poor state economically, and we aren't oblivious to the fact Louisiana is continually laughed at and impugned by most areas of the country and the entertainment industry. But the one thing we do have is culture. And LSU athletics, and football in particular, is culturally ingrained into every one of us. LSU football is not something that just happens on Saturdays in the fall; it is part of the culture of Louisiana. For a state that has had its share of disasters, naturally and man made, LSU has always been the rallying point for the state. This is the reason LSU fans are as passionate as they are, and what most people outside the state of Louisiana fail to understand. And while most in the country may laugh at phrases like, "'Choot 'em, 'Lizabet!", we embrace it, because we know that's just the way it is, and wouldn't have it any other way. Sorry for the long post and I'll get off my high horse now. Just thought I'd throw this out there so you'll at least have some understanding of why some may come off the way they do. It's never personal, it's always passionate.
