Would be cooler to just cheer for Sam. I'm going to check the odds in the morning and see what they are. I got Brooks at a great price and that looks like it is still alive. Might drop some on DJ too. Any suggestions from the crowd and I'll listen, who do you think has a shot to win this thing?
Golf is weird. The player gets to study every shot from every angle and discuss it with his caddy for 5 minutes before hitting the ball and the fans are supposed to act like they are in a library while he hits a stationary ball. A baseball player has to stand in the hitters box while the pitcher throws no telling what kind of junk with all kind of movement and speeds up to 100 mph while the fans yell all kind of insults at him.
It's always been that way & it isn't going to change. Golfers don't mind pre shot noise, but once they get over the ball they expect near silence. A bird chirping they can tolerate because it isn't a sudden, unexpected noise.
DJ scares me. Here is the thing, I got Brooks at +3500 which in the event you don't know is bet $100 to win $3500. I didn't bet a hundo but I bet enough so that I'll win a pile of money if he wins. When I looked a little bit ago Sam was at like +350 maybe less, DJ was about the same. I bet it live so the odds for Brooks are now way down so I got in at the right time. I think I'm going to let it ride until Saturday morning and see what happens. If Sam stumbles a little tomorrow, just a little that should bump his number up a bit. I unfortunately need DJ to fall apart tomorrow or at some point in the weekend and he looks strong. I may have to hedge with him on Sunday if he doesn't back off. Cantlay is also a wildcard. Will keep my eye on him as well.
I don't either, which is why the first three words of my post were "DJ scares me" He is going to be a problem. I know this.
