Don't get me wrong, I love the opportunity that watching LSU games on TV brings, and there are a lot of great possibilities with the scenario of watching LSU games on TV. But this is it, this is the last series in the current Box. Could you imagine if there was ever a last game at Tiger Stadium? Also, my favorite MLB stadium experience was watching a game at Wrigley field, and they had people lining the rooftops around the stadium with binoculars watching the game, even thought it was just some regular season game with no great significance compared to all the other regular season games they played that year.
I wouldn't know, I was inside. =] I read the advocate on sunday and they said they sold to everyone out there saturday and they could have put more in and the saturday night game was the biggest crowd that weekend. 2theadvocate.com | LSU Sports | Big crowd for big game — Baton Rouge, LA
Good luck with these ideas. I would love to be able to figure a way out to be there and watch it in person. But since that isn't looking like a possibility, I'm going to do the next best thing. My dad is going to come over and watch it at my house. I know it's not the same thing, but unfortunatey, that's the best I can get. I do have a foul ball I caught Saturday (came over the grandstand while I was looking for tickets). I have it picked up right now, but when my boys are old enough to understand the signifigance of a ball from the last ever regional at The Box, I'm going to pass it along to them. Of course World War III will start shortly there after since I have 2 sons and only 1 foul ball.
Love the father/son motifs in your answer there. I do believe that LSU baseball is a better father/son experience than even my beloved world of college football. That story about that ball, passing on to your two sons (yeah, that will be WWIII with that choice), watching the game with your dad, Awesome.
That is a very special ball, and I am sure that you will be able to articulate perfectly the significance of it to your boys.
I know that feeling, I wore my gold baseball jersey all weekend, remember I live in Mississippi. Everywhere I went, people were looking at me like I had two heads myself. I guess when they first saw it they thought it was USM, then they saw Tigers in purple  across the front. I think I might just wash it every day and wear it all the time. It is sure nice to be a :tigbas: fan.
We didnt get in and I tried the cute kids with fingers in the air approach and turned up nothing. At the gates it looked like Mardi Gras Morning with people trying to get coconuts from Zulu. 5 deep JUST at the gates, thats not including the lenght of Skip Bertman Drive, the corner of Nic and Skip and the gate were UNO was leaving at. Oh and the people walking past the tailgate on South Stadium ever 5 mins asking if we had tickets for sale.
