One of the original points of the thread was how will the rain affect tailgating. I stated that not as many people will be out & tailgating all day. Where are they going to be? Maybe home. Maybe at Chimes. Regardless of the opponent, there are people who are just not willing to sit in the rain to eat jambalaya & fried gator. As for the game, I said that there will be empty seats because you will have people with every intention of skipping the rainy tailgate, but still want to go to the game, but if the weather does not improve, they will just say "F it" and stay in their living room. Sure, that will be a fraction of the minority, but it will not surprise me to see a few empty seats Saturday night. Not 10,000 empty ones, but a couple in each section.
lets hope it dies out. i'll be driving all the way from oklahoma in that crap. that may slow us down. but i'll be there come hell or high water. both of which seem to be happening lately. and the poncho is packed!
Nice tune YouTube - Grateful Dead - Looks Like Rain 03-28-81 bring on the rain. this game will be epic. rain makes it better. the run game will be all the more important.
i'll say what we in our krewe says everytime it looks like bad weather: "i swear to God, the whole effing world's against us." whatever, bring it. can't wait to tailgate. the people that won't show are the people with small children that only show up to a couple of games anyway. the every weeker's aren't going anywhere especially for a game of this magnitude. like okie said, hell or highwater, the forecast calls for both. :tigereye:
LSU is one of the most sure handed teams in the country the past few years. We simply don't put the ball on the ground. I would say advantage LSU in terms of us possible winning the turnover battle.
i would think that even the Mad Hatter would be a little nervous with Trindon back there also, look for Chad Jones returning punts if it's wet.
