AP: 11 Coaches: 9 No change in either. I have some issues with Ohio St (Come on, Navy???!??!), BYU (No Bradford == BYU Wins), and California (How good is Maryland) jumping us. I mostly agree with the other teams being in front of us at this point.

I agree with Ohio State and California jumping us being wrong. Gotta disagree with BYU. They were giving Oklahoma hell way before Bradford got knocked out. They earned their spot. We'll have plenty of opportunities to pass them later this year.
If you saw Landry Jones miss passes at the end of the game, you'd know that Sam won't miss those passes. I don't think BYU wins without knocking him out.
We'll never know. Even if true, BYU beat Oklahoma. We beat Washington. They deserve to be ahead of us this week. Like I said, we'll have plenty of chances to pass them in the future if we keep winning.
Ohio State didn't jump us, they were ahead of us already. Conversely, we would have jumped them with an impressive win. But that didn't happen. The last TD hurt us a lot (31-16 vs 31-23 would have looked a lot different for the coaches especially who don't get to see anything but a box score). But we didn't blow them out on purpose, so it is what it is. So don't look at it as "oh I can't believe they gave Cal that much credit for their win" but instead look at it as LSU got punished for looking lackluster and uninterested in being a top tier team this year. That's the statement the voters made. We need to convince them otherwise starting this week.
Look, we control our destiny. If we beat Florida twice, Ole Miss, and Alabama, the rankings will work themselves out. No point in getting upset because we didn't move from 11th to 10th in Week 1. Let's just use this time to let the team gel, and be ready for the real games.
