Looking at the forecast for this weekend, Weather Channel is saying thunderstorms Saturday. If the field is wet, who does that favor? Thoughts?
90 / 70 with a 30% chance of T-storms. I don't think it will rain ... it never rains in tiger stadium, right? Anyway, I think it will be in our favor if it does. They are claiming that the QB and the RB is their big chance to win the game. Rain eliminates the QB. And let’s face it....our QB's passing game is NOT what has won us the pass three games.
Wet conditions typically neutralize speed advantages. Since I think that we are the bigger, more physical team, then it would definitely favor us. WVU relies solely on their speed to score points. Brute force is not their forte'. Regardless, even if it does rain, I wouldn't expect a soaked field. Will most likely be an isolated shower that will drain off in a few minutes.
West Virginia gets more yards through the air than on the ground. So a really wet field may actually favor them if the ball stays dry. But if it's not actively raining, I don't see this being a problem for either team since my understanding is Tiger Stadium drainage is very good.
I'd like to have a game in the rain sometime this year. That's real football. Snow is even more fun but I don't anticipate any down here.
no no no! too many muddy tailgates last year. i do not want another all night tailgate in a thunder storm!
I don't think I'll ever have a better time than when we beat Rice 77-0 and I stayed the whole game. I didn't want to leave.
