LSU Fans Encouraged to Wear Gold for Mississippi State Game LSU’s football game against Mississippi State on Saturday night has been designated as the Tigers’ annual “Gold Game” as fans are encouraged to wear gold in support of their team. LSU traditionally designates the first home Southeastern Conference game of the season as the “Gold Game.” The official LSU Gold Game t-shirt will be available at LSU on Friday night in Touchdown Village and on the day of the game at all Tiger Gift Center locations. Many local retailers stock up on gold apparel in anticipation of the annual Gold Game. The LSU vs. Mississippi State game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and will be nationally televised by ESPN2.
