All this piece of cake ooc bs talk. Id rather have increasingly difficult games, play very vanilla, so that the next and future opponents have no clue what we will do. Thismyear's sched allows us to do that, stay healthy, and get our newbees experience and get phenominal with every game and for next year. I just dont think we beat bama-especially with our poor passing offense and the o line issues, and our passing defense. We better get way better every week, or we will be sugar bowl bound.... And to me, this year, thats unacceptable
I say as long as the winner of the SEC (who is undefeated in OOC play) goes to the championship game or the new "playoffs", then what really matters is winning the SEC. I do not want to be left out of the playoffs because we lose a game at WVA, NC, TX, OREG, or wherever! I don't think we will ever see an OOC schedule like last year's again. Get used to one average OOC per year, until 2018 and 2019, a series with OKLA. (of course the following is incomplete): Per LSU sports.net: 2013 TCU, UAB, Furman 2014 GA Southern 2015 Jacksonville State, Arizona State 2016 Away Arizona State, S.Alabama 2017 NCST 2018 away OKLA 2019 Okla
You can bet they'll (South Carolina and Arky) be on point when they play us. Florida's pitiful. Our backups should get a lot of PT in that one.
Naturally, they'll be on point when they play us. That's what the top 5 target does for a team--we get everyone's best shot. UNT looked like they were trying to beat us the other night, too. Muschamp may be run out of Gainsville by the time the Florida State game rolls around in November.
I thought about that and actually feel sorry for the guy. Success in coaching has a lot to do with timing, among other things. Meyer knew when to "fall sick" and bolt.
Living in Arkansas I've actually been going over this with the Hog fans here. Everything for them is dependent upon Kniles Davis being a hassle for Bama. Bama's corners can handle Arkie's receivers by themselves, just like ours can. If Bama can stop Kniles Davis without loading the box and just concentrate on blitzing the hell out of Tyler Wilson early? They won't be able to do shit. If however Kniles Davis causes Bama to have to load the box to stop him, then their O-line will be able to give Wilson's receivers enough time to get away and Wilson is good enough to find them in stride for big yardage. This is what Arkansas lacked when they faced Bama last year, a legitimate running threat and why Bama steamrolled them. Will their defense handle Bama? Not at all, but if Bama cannot stop one facet of their offense without giving up the other facet, then Arkansas can turn this into a shootout, and I don't think McCarron has the arm to keep up with Tyler Wilson.
