Dude ... you need some Xanex. I never said fire CLM. In fact, I don't even want to fire the OCs. They just need to adjust the offense to suit their team. Spurrier .. btw .. was a HUGE PASS guy. .. that is, until Lattimore came along. All of the sudden, Mr. Pass found himself with his greatest assett being a running back. Now he runs .. and that makes passing a lot easier for his mediocre QB. I said it some time back. Our backs don't need anymore experience in running the football. They need a pass attack that unstacks the box, so they can actually do what they do best. We should have looked like a Pac 12 or Big 12 team in those first games. .. pass pass pass. But instead, we ran ran ran .. and lost our number 1 back [Blue] in the process. And you're right .. we came out smoking in the first series. Then .. all of the sudden .. we abandoned what was working. We threw a couple of TE passes ... didn't see another TE pass the rest of the game. We threw a screen to Ware that went for yardage .... notta after that. Granted, Kadron Boone screwed some stuff up .. that guy really needs some PT spent catching the ball under pressure before he sees the field again. And ... how do we fault anyone other than #3 for his fumble after a nice catch and run?? .. we can't. It's not Miles fault .. it's not Mett's fault .. it wasnt' the OL's fault ... it wasn't the play calling's fault .. it was Beckam's fault. ..... but the likelyhood of such would be much less if we had spent the first 2-4 games practicing the pass, building up rhythm, building up confidence, building up a bit of swagger.
You just don't understand Miles' genius strategy. He was saving our super secret high power passing attack to unleash on an unsuspecting opponent. South Carolina better look out!
